PRB Administrators originated in Los Angeles. The New York office
opened in 1981. Since then we have undergone many changes, but our
philosophy and mission have not changed. We continue to strive for the
highest degree of client satisfaction by offering professional
and timely services.
PRB Administrators NY consists of a professional staff of consultants
and benefits practitioners with many years of experience in the retirement
plans industry. Our astute professionals can assist with the development
of the most appropriate plan, a transition from a current provider, and we
can address your administration needs.
PRB Administrators NY takes the confusion out of plan administration
duties and decision making by providing our clients with the consulting
and technical experience they need. We are committed to maintaining
effective state-of-the-art computer systems. We employ administrative
procedures that are designed to ensure that we provide efficient and high

Kevin M. Brown |
|
The career of Kevin M. Brown has been marked from
its beginning by extraordinary service to others, to his country
and to his industry. Kevin served in the United States Air Force
from 1967 to 1971 during the Vietnam Conflict with distinction. He
subsequently enrolled in and graduated from Bernard Baruch College
at the City University of New York with a BBA.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Charles T. Brown, a
noted pension and insurance professional, Kevin started his career
at PRB in 1978. Kevin quickly became a member of the management
team as an Advanced Sales Specialist, then Comptroller and finally
the Manager. Today he is the President of PRB Administrators NY
and is also a partner at Price Raffel & Browne LLC.
On the volunteer side, Kevin is most active in charities
centering within his home borough of Richmond County. He is
currently the President of the Moravian Cemetery; a past member of
the finance and administration committee of the Snug Harbor
Cultural Center; past board member and treasurer of the Moravian
Ministries Foundation, a board member of the Larger Life
Foundation and Moravian Open Door, a half-way house located in
Manhattan. He is a past board member and treasurer of the Camp
Fire Council of Greater New York.
Kevin and his wife of forty years reside in Staten Island. They
have two grown sons and two grandchildren.
Kevin is a registered representative of Ameritas Investment
Corp., member FINRA/SIPC.

Fran Ferrante, ERPA, QPA |
|
Fran Ferrante serves as Executive Vice President
of PRB Administrators NY and is responsible for overseeing every
aspect of qualified retirement plan administration from plan
installation through plan termination. Fran has extensive
technical expertise, and works directly with clients, accountants and
attorneys to address the more complex issues affecting their
clients. The depth of her experience and regulatory knowledge is
prized by PRB affiliates and clients. Fran started her career in
pension administration in 1974, on the date that ERISA was
enacted. She is a frequent speaker at meetings and seminars, and
is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals &
Actuaries.
An Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) is a new category of
practitioner who has earned the privilege of representing
taxpayers before the IRS relating to retirement plan matters. Fran
is among those who first received an ERPA designation.

Martin Shimmel, CLU, ChFC |

Martin Shimmel, widely recognized as a leading
financial services professional, is an Executive Vice President of PRB
Administrators NY. He has worked on the development and sale of
life and disability insurance programs, investment planning and
employee benefits for individuals and businesses.
Since 1988, Martin’s focus is on design, installation and
maintenance of qualified retirement plans. Martin serves as the
liaison between our clients, the TPA, investment houses, and
brokers.
Martin has a B.A. degree from Washington University in St.
Louis, and an MBA from Columbia University with a concentration in
Finance and International Business. He has been a featured speaker
at conferences, training schools, and seminars and has appeared on
CNN as an authoritative resource.
He is a registered representative of Ameritas Investment Corp.,
member FINRA/SPIC.

Frank Castrofilippo, QPA, QKA |
|
Frank Castrofilippo serves as the Manger and he
oversees the day-to-day operation of our administration team as
well as our participant service team. He excels in all aspects of
plan design and administration. He also works directly with
clients, brokers, and accountants to resolve issues or plan
concerns. Frank’s career in the retirement plan industry began in
2001 and he has a thorough understanding of Defined Contribution
and Defined Benefit Plans. Frank graduated from CUNY, Brooklyn
College with a B.S. in Mathematics, B.S. in Finance and a minor in
Economics. He is also a member of the American Society of Pension
Professionals & Actuaries.
